A year since my last post and a very busy year to say the least. I am now a Principal of New Academy in Bristol (Bristol Brunel Academy). Most of the year has been spent, setting up systems and preparing for our opening in September.
I'll cut straight to the point of this post. I am looking to complete our Senior Leadership Team (at present 2 Vice Principals), by apointing one Vice Principal and 2 Assistant Principals. The VP role is around curriculum (mainly PBL) and E-learning. The AP roles mainly centre on the development of Project Based Learning. Well hello and welcome to the first post in what I hope will be an interesting journey (for those of you who find this sort of thing interesting).
What I hope this blog will provide is a source of information, resources and links for those of you who want to change the way students learn and especially for those of you who want to develop real independent, self-sustaining learners for the 21st century.
The blog will hopefully develop into a fruitful discussion site where ideas are explored and resources shared. I intend to post all the relevant resources I've created and with permission the resources of colleagues in the City Academy. There will also be links to our web site to allow you to delve deeper into our learning. Ideally I hope you will also share resources by placing links on this blog.
More later about the City Academy and our journey, but for now, the main areas of interest I initially intend to cover are:
