We're now into our third year of being an Academy. When we took over the predecessor school the vast majority of our teachers came with us. This has had huge managing change implications. Shifting the culture and ethos from behaviour led to learning driven. I've attached a Power Point presentation ("Curriculum Journey") with notes to take you through some of the curriculum developments. If you want to see the notes you will have to save the file.
The reporting system is especially interesting. Based on Guy Claxton's 4Rs; it has been one of the major contributors to this change in ethos. We've come so far - but we need to make further radical changes if we are to really develop our students into 21st century learners.
Any questions or further details on this, let me know.
